You can say we are a team of artists, although we prefer to call the DV artists a family of extremely talented, like minded women with a passion to create beauty.

Meet the Owner
Hi there! I'm Jackie Hanson, a former Design Visage bride, proud wifey + momma of 3, fitness junkie, & podcast enthusiast . I love getting my hair and makeup done and dressing up in heels for a good date night with the hubs, but you can also find me going to the landfill (yes, landfill) in my workout clothes to fulfill my son’s obsession with trash trucks and trash! Life is all about that balance right?!?
Never in my wildest dreams did I think in 2012, the decision for hiring hair and makeup for my wedding day, would be life changing for me. We had a full day for the team; with 27, yes 27, hair and makeup services! It was a tall order, and the DV team executed without a hitch! Not only did I look my best (can they doll me up everyday?!) but I FELT my absolute best. On a morning that could be stressful, I felt calm, excited, stress-free and enjoyed every single minute of that morning. At that moment, I knew there was something so very special about Design Visage.
Fast forward to 2016, Caren Lazarus, DV’s brilliant founder, my mentor and great friend, chose me to take over her baby, DV! It was a great honor to inherit such an established business, led by a group of talented artists and like-minded women. I wake up feeling very grateful each and every day. Someone please pinch me!

Meet the Founder
The mastermind behind this amazing company is Caren Lazarus. Her story began with a talent for makeup and a background in marketing and business. In 1985, she began working in Marketing Division for Clinique, helping the girls behind the counter with the art of suggestive selling. With floods of requests of on-site bridal beauty services from dozens of brides, the seed for the first on-site Bridal Hair and Makeup Company was born, as we know and love today as Design Visage. Caren recruited and trained the best of the best artists in the industry, and built relationships with countless wedding professionals and venues to get Design Visage to be one of the most prominent bridal beauty companies in California. She has been a huge part of changing not only the lives of countless brides, but also colleagues and artists that have been part of the DV Family throughout the years. For that, we are forever grateful to her. She will forever be Design Visage.
