Style Unveiled LA…our Bride Laura

I love love love it when we see our brides published. Often we do not even know it until another vendor publishes it and we then see it our bride as well. That is how it happened in this case, our good friend Nili at Rancho Las Lomas posted this on Facebook. I contacted the photographer Jeffrey Neal of JNP Studios……….He is going to send us some of the shots for a later post, although in the meantime let’s see Laura and Scott.

Laura just looks lovely, but look at Scott’s face…you can not stage this look. He loves her so much.

Lauren was the talented Design Visage artist for Laura’s look. Laura is naturally a beautiful girl with perfect hair. The decision for her look was natural curls for her hair and an all down style. As I mentioned, Laura has great hair and a lot of it. This is how this style can be successful for a wedding hairstyle. Her  bridal make-up was a little more bold. Very natural colors….browns and golds although applied with a stonger pallet to give a smoky eye and overall glamerous style.

Thank you Laura for choosing Design Visage.

Previews…Previews…Previews

Are you tired of the previews? I never tire of the fun that hair and make-up can create.  I mentioned that the preview is the most challenging part of our job, but it is also one of the most scariest part of a brides wedding. So many brides come to the preview very cautious and nervous….I believe it is for a few reasons…1. Everyone has seen the bride that you do not even recognize at the wedding….who wants to be the bride that as she is walking down the isle many of the guests think they are at the wrong wedding. 2. The bride has been planning this moment since she was 5, and the hair and make-up are a very important part of the day…seems silly but you know if you hair looks good you feel good! And the photos on the wall for the next 20 years…you do not want to always look at them as say to yourself…what was I thinking? 3. Many brides are a bit intimidated by the artist, afraid this stylist is going to do something crazy on her and then not be able to say what you like and don’t like…thinking how you can do a quick getaway without causing a scene.

The Design Visage artists know all these concerns are are there for you without any ego but with loads of talent.

I just love love the new hair accessories. Brides are having so much fun with unique looks. You can see some terrific pieces on Bridalmode, Design Visage’s premiere wedding accessory site.

Brides in Flowers…Flowers…Flowers

This is quite fun for me to write about. How beautiful is a bride with flowers in her hair. There is something so feminine about flowing curls and flowers. Brides often ask us about fresh flowers as opposed to silk…well as stunning as fresh are…it will be a long day and most flowers will wilt and/or turn brown. If you are dead set on fresh…ask your florist which type of flower is the best, and get a second to replace prior to the reception. The safest and in my opinion the best choice is a stunning silk. There are so many to choose, with shapes, textures, and colors to facinate any brides pallet. This will be a 3 part blog since their are so many things to show you. Lets start with a designs from Michelle Miller Designs and can be found on Bridalmode.
