Rancho Las Lomas/Casey Larae Photography/Wedding Hair and Makeup

I love digital photos…...Design Visage did Heather’s wedding just over a week ago and the wonderful Casey Larae sent these amazing images of our stunning bride.

It does not hurt that Heather is beautiful and has an great sense of style. Paired with Design Visage Lauren…this is a hot look.

Wedding hairstyle:

Heather chose that ever so popular side style. Design Visage Lauren outdid herself on this one. First she curled all Heather’s hair with a 1 inch iron. She added some clip in hair extensions for fullness. She then created a base by putting part of Heather’s hair in a rubber band to the side. The final touches were adding the rest of the hair in loose pieces around the base, leaving lots of hair out and tousled.

Wedding Makeup:

Heather has that bold style and it shows in her choice of wedding makeup. Lauren helped Heather create a sexy smoky eye with shades of grey and gold, topping it off with red lips. Heather looks amazing.

As you know if you read our blog, Rancho Las Lomas is one of Design Visage‘s favorite wedding locations. Just look at all the photo opportunities, along with one of the most romantic settings in the O.C…..and you get to work with one of my favorite wedding peeps Nili of Rancho Las Lomas

Wedding Day Makeover/TLC/Design Visage

Behind the scenes with Priya, the whole story

This week on Wedding Day Makeover on TLC, aired the episode with TV bride Priya. We asked Design Visage stylist Lauren to tell us the real scoop.

Interesting the whole story you see on TV lasts less than 15 minutes. Do you know they filmed over 15 hours. So as you can imagine, there is much that happens that you did not see.

Lauren: ” I style over 100 brides per year, but I was afraid of Priya. Before I met her the owner of Design Visage, Caren, told me that Priya was a newscaster and had a professional makeup and hair artist everyday. Caren also told me that Priya said on the phone that she was very picky and difficult to please. I was nervous to meet her, and especially since it was my first bride for “Wedding Day Makeover”. I did not know what to expect and now it was going to be with a difficult bride. I made sure to wear a top that would not show any sweat beads! Just in case.

Priya knew exactly want she wanted and was not going to let either her mother or her friend that came to the preview sway her in any way. The preview took a lot of time, much that was not on TV. I did a few looks that she just hated and I became worried that I was not going to find her “look” and with the entire filming crew watching. With the grace of God, the very last look gave Priya, she loved it.

On the wedding day, I was still concerned. Priya has the type of personality to change her mind. Fortunately she loved it. But she micro managed every step. She had a mirror and watched each move I made and gave her two cents. Then at one point she saw her mother with makeup and jumped out of the chair and said, with cameras rolling “I hate it” Apparently Priya was not used to her mother looking that glamorous and did not think her wedding day was the best day for that change. In the end Priya and all the girls including mom looked so beautiful and were very happy.

In the end Lauren had a great time with Priya and her wedding.

Rancho Las Lomas/Wedding Hair and Make-up/John Partridge Photography

Nicole….what a stunning bride. I love that Nicole went with a bolder look on her eyes and lips, she wears it well.

Dosen’t hurt that Nicole had a great photographer….John Partridge. The location Rancho Las Lomas is also one of Design Visage’s favorite locations for weddings. If you have not seen it, take a look….Rancho Las Lomas.

Lauren, Nicoles Design Visage artist had so much fun with her bridal look.

Bridal Hairstyle:

I would call this a classic messy updo, although not too messy. Lauren curled all of Nicole’s hair in a large iron and then placed each piece in place, without it looking organized.

Bridal Make-Up

Lauren and Nicole decided on a bold lip, a great red, and smokey eyes. Not everyone can pull off this look, but Nicole has the perfect features.

The red lips to accompany the red shoes.

I think this is my favorite photo, lot’s of personality.

Nicole and Brian are such a beautiful couple.

Barnet Photography/Wedding Hair and Make-Up/Details Details

Last year we were had the pleasure of making Diane absolutely stunning for her wedding. We met Diane a few years ago when we did her sister Dana’s wedding hair and make-up. Both Dana and Diane were featured in Ceremony Magazine.

Dana of Design Visage was Diane’s artist and what a fun bride to make beautiful, or should I say more beautiful.

The Barnets of Barnet Photography did an amazing job with the photos…….as always. And the girls from Details Details organized the day.

The Beverly Hills Hotel was the location for the big day.

Both Diane and Ben went to USC, therefore the band at the reception was perfect.
