Sheri Wade Photography/Wedding Hair/Surf and Sand Hotel

Rachel works in catering at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Hotel in Dana Point, so you can imagine how honored we were when she called Design Visage for her wedding hairstyle….every week-end Rachel sees the hair and make-up for all the brides….and she chose us…yipee

Sheri Wade Photography did amazing work…….

I love Rachel’s style…look at the fantastic bow with color and bling….love love it!!

Wedding Hairstyle:

Lauren was Rachel’s Design Visage artist….they decided to create a romantic half up half down hairstyle
This style is most successful if you have thick hair….and Rachel has wonderful hair
Lauren curled the entire back with a 1 1/2 iron and set it. After the hair was cool, Lauren lightly placed the hair in a tosseled natural look
The very important front was softly pulled back and lightly pinned to create a soft look and shows off Rachel’s lovely face

Melody Walker of Events by Melody Walker organized the day and as always it went off with a hitch…..It is so nice when we work wilth wedding coordinators….the wedding always runs so smoothly and the brides is always on time…. Rachel took advantage of our “Borrow a Veil” service and save a lot of cash…..

The wedding was at the beautiful Surf and Sand Hotel in Laguna….This Hotel is RIGHT on the sand and has the most amazing view and sunset….if you are looking for a location for your wedding…check it out.

All I can say is Wow! I had an amazing experience with Design Visage. The price was VERY reasonable, especially being able to borrow a veil(for a bride on a budget, this was AMAZING)

Lauren was my artist and was such a pleasure to work with. I have a permanent straightener on my hair which does not allow my hair to hold any kind of style ever….but Lauren made it happen. My hair held up with curls! all night…All of my bridesmaids looked beautiful, even my maid of honor who was insistent on doing her own hair quickly changed her mind when she saw Lauren’s work.

Thank you so much for making me and all my girls look beautiful on the wedding day!

Andrea and Eric

On June 21st of this year, Andrea and Eric were married. Yun from Cloud 9 Photography gave us all the lovely photos…..and my friend and fantastic coordinator April Whitney organized the day. Let’s take a look…..

Notice the make-up…..perfect to the last kiss…..this is after many many many hours of wedding and Andrea is still fresh and ready for a little frosting on the nose.

Design Visage/Get Your Hankie Out for This One

I heard from the wedding coordinator…extraordinaire Lisa Simpson, that the bride and groom both sobbed when they saw each other prior to the wedding. Lisa of course was complimenting the Design Visage make-up application…its cry proof. Although when I saw these beautiful photos from OrangeTurtle Photography …I sobbed…..you can not fake this look….it is the look of pure love and joy to be getting married. Becky and Dastuni’s photos are my favorite so far in 09. Let’s see what you think.

It’s hard to even notice the hair and make-up with all that emotion going on. Never the less, let’s see what Lauren ( Design Visage artist) and Becky chose for her wedding beauty.

Becky’s bridal hairstyle was a half updo adorned with a crystal flower from Design Visage’s Bridalmode. Lauren added hair extensions to add fullness and it also helps the style stay longer. Wedding make-up was sultry eyes and soft lips….don’t forget the eyelash extensions….the final touch.

Becky has a fun style about her….look at the dress…sassy red, and Dastuni’s red highlights….was it planned? Along with the blue girlie’s dresses….fun fun.

Bowers Museum was the location for the day…..

Yours, Mine equals Ours

What a nice surprise to hear from Carolyn this week. Carolyn was married 7/07 and Loved how beautiful she felt on the wedding, so she did the best compliment a company can have….she brought her future daughter in law to Design Visage for hair and make-up services for her wedding 7/09. We are so excited to be a part of Alyssa’s wedding. But in the meantime let’s take a look at Carolyn and Neils day.

So the yours, mine equals ours: Neil has 3 children and Carolyn has 2 children…so now we have one big Brady Bunch.

So how did they meet? Carolyn is a nurse and a college set her up with a friend…..Neil. Well this is one blind date that went well. They went to dinner, were so engrossed in the conversation, did not even realize that everyone was gone, the restaurant was closed leaving only the closing crew. I guess it was love at first site.

They were engaged on Friday the 13th. The wedding was at the stunning Montage Resort in Laguna Beach, Sherly Rossell coordinated the day and the photos were shot by Moments by Michelle . Carolyn loves bling……there were rhinestones on the cake, bouquet, frames, floral arrangements, the invitation, and all down the back of her dress. It was one sparkly day.

Hannah was Carolyn’s DV artist, and you will see how fantastic her eyes look. They applied a bronze contour with a lot of lashes. Look at those eyes.

Carolyn and Neil went to Bora Bora for their Honeymoon. For their one year anniversary they returned to Bora Bora with all 5 kids, this year for the 2nd year anniversary, they are returning to Bora Bora alone.

Thanks Carolyn for reconnecting with us and the incredible compliment of bringing Alyssa to us. We will take very good care of her.
