Jenny and Bryan

Jenny came into our office without much hope. She had already gone to 3 other previews and had not been happy. Which is so foreign to Design Visage, we work with the bride on the preview until she is happy…well I guess that is why so few brides cancel after our preview. So Jenny saw a picture of a bride we had done on the Knot, and decided to give us a try.

On the preview the artist and Jenny tried a few different hairstyles. All up, all down and the final winner half up and half down. Just like trying on different styles of dresses, it is important to try your hair up and down to see what it best on you and how you want to see yourself in the pictures on your wall for the next 20 years. Many brides ask if it is necessary to have a preview, I suppose to save money. Well it is certainly possible, but to me a bit crazy. A wedding day is not the time to be deciding how you want your hair and make-up!

Jenny and Bryan were married at the beautiful Sherman Gardens in Corona del Mar. Their photographer was Eric Slay. And most importantly, a few months after the wedding, Jenny came to Design Visage for a facial. We started talking and Design Visage hired Jenny to do our accessories site Bridalmode. Jenny is very talented and with much patience taught me much about technology. Check her out at Well-United ….I highly recommend her company. Thanks Jenny for letting Design Visage be a part of your wedding.

Carlo and Anna

Interesting how I met Carlo. A few years ago I went to Kenny the Printer to have a project printed. They were so rude to me that I left immediately. I walked out the door and thought what now, I need this asap. I looked across the street and saw Avanti Printing. I walked in the door and there was Carlo. So sweet, professional, and accommodating. This started a nice business relationship. Last year when Carlo told me he was going to propose to Anna (had not met her yet) I was thrilled. And even more honored when he asked Design Visage to make his Anna look beautiful on their wedding day. So here is how the story went. Now remember this is according to Carlo, so Anna if you have another version, just make a comment to set the record straight.

Anna was a good friend of Carlo’s twin sisters.  They would always tell him to ask her out. Carlo felt a little funny since Anna was such a good friend of his sisters. Carlo’s whole family knew Anna and suggested he pursue her. A couple years ago Anna came to Carlo’s birthday party. Carlo’s step-mom told him that Anna was following him around the room with her eyes. So he tested it…and it was true!

After some time passed, he saw her with his sisters, Carlo realized that Anna was an amazing girl and possessed all the qualities that he was looking for in a life partner and wife. They could not resist their destiny, started dating, and were married 1 year later.

Have you ever met a couple that you just knew would be together forever. That is how I feel about Carlo and Anna. When Anna came to Design Visage for her hair and make-up preview, it was apparent what Carlo saw in her. Anna is one of the most beautiful girls you will ever meet. Although I am not just talking about the physical appearance. Anna has a beautiful soul that she carries on the outside. Carlo and Anna have a true faith that will be a strong part of their life together.

Anna’s make-up was very light, natural browns and soft cheeks and lips. Her hair was a loose low style updo, very feminine.

I would like to thank their photographer Jacob Bongiovanni for all photos.
