Wedding Day Makeover TLC/Hoffmann Photography/Wedding Hair and Makeup

Beautiful Alyssa came to Design Visage referred by out friend and wonderful coordinator Sharon Gall from Once Upon a Time Weddings. When Alyssa was approved by TLC to be on our show “Wedding Day Makeover” I was excited. I knew that Alyssa was a big fan of the wedding reality shows and would be a fun bride for the show. The best part of Alyssa was, as in so many beautiful brides, she had a facial feature that she disliked. Her jaw, she thinks it too big. So funny, we all did not see that, although Missy her Design Visage artist went to work to soften the lines of Alyssa’s chin to make her feel even more beautiful.

This is Alyssa’s mom, she was such a good sport in helping Alyssa and Wedding Day Makeover by TLC. She flew to come to the preview at Design Visage so she could support her daughter on TV.

Wedding hairstyle:

As you will recall on Wedding Day Makeover, Alyssa tried the down style and the messy up style. She chose to go up for the wedding day. Missy her Design Visage stylist created a loose updo with the front pulled back, the back was an organized mess as Missy likes to call it. Which means the style is very fun and tousled.

Wedding makeup:

Missy designed an elegant smoky eye with a soft cheek and lip for Alyssa.

St Regis Monarch Beach, Wedding Hair and Makeup

It is such an honor when Design Visage is asked to do the hair and makeup for someone in the wedding industry. Kelly is the catering manager at the St Regis in Monarch Beach. She sees all brides and has chosen Design Visage for her day. Yippee, we are so excited. Last week we had the opportunity to style Kelly’s hair and makeup for the engagement photos. Kelly has so much personal style and the greatest haircut.

St Regis Monarch Beach/Wedding Hair and Make-up/Amy Squires Photography

I LOVE everything about these photos of Venice….take a look at this St Regis Monarch Beach wedding:

We feel close to Venice, since she visited Design Visage many times prior to the wedding for facials and extra beauty services.

Isn’t she gorgeous! And kudos goes to Lane at Amy Squires Photography for the fantastic photos…yea Lane….

The St Regis Monarch Beach has some incredible photo opportunities…..

Bridal Hairstyle:

Venice chose such a flattering and fun hairstyle and her Design Visage Artist Heather created the best do! This style is easy…especially if you have beautiful hair like Venice (don’t fret…we can add extensions if you have fine hair like I do!)

First Heather curled and set all of Venice’s lovely locks
Finger brush the cooled curls and pull to the slight side in a loose pony.
The bangs…very important part..a side part with a bit of hairspray and a good iron to keep them in place…but soft. This entire look is soft..romantic
Lastly the finishing touch a feathery flower from Bridalmode…just perfect.

Wedding Make-Up:

Eyes were created with a coppery brown contour and a charcoal liner..interesting combination but it works and well
lashes lashes lashes
lips and cheeks are called sweetie..perfect name for a rose tone
gloss gloss gloss

Wow look at Mom…..

This photo is amazing…was this to show off the perfect purple shoes…or was Venice having fun, or the idea of Amy Squires Photography…who ever, I think you will see many brides copying this pose.

I am a sucker for the father/daughter photos….is this touching….

Venice wins so far this year with the best shoes…………

Roya and Jeff….Romance

What a beautiful girl Roya…..she married Jeff May 23rd at the incredible St Regis Hotel in Monarch Beach. I Would like thank Jenny from Red Loft Studios for capturing these memorable photos of the day.

Lauren was Roya’s Design Visage artist. We had the pleasure of seeing Roya many times prior to the wedding. For the engagement photos, a engagement party and she had Lauren cut her hair and condition it so it was healthy and shinny for the wedding….it certainly shows.

Roya is a lovely girl with all the natural beauty you could desire. To enhance that, Lauren added some extensions to her hair and eyelashes. The bridal make-up choice was natural eyes, some deep rusty tones with browns to bring out Roya’s amazingly large eyes and to top it off, a bold lip color….just perfect.

Roya choose a delicate silk flower for her hair jewelry that she purchased from Design Visage’s Bridalmode.

Vivi and Erik Western/Christian Ceremony/St Regis

The next day Vivi and Erik had a western ceremony. Can you imagine…..2 dresses, 2 ceremony’s, 2 times to be the princess. Lauren returned to make Vivi shine again for this day.

You can see Lauren applied a softer lip color and lighter eye tones of brown pinks and always a natural cheek. Vivi has beautiful thick hair so this soft low updo was the natural choice. The purple flower just adds the perfect touch.

Vivi and Erik were fortunate to have Erik’s father perform the ceremony. He is a Lutheran Minister in Madison Wi. This was very special for the couple and for Erik’s family.

Vivi told me a funny story. Erik called Vivi’s father to ask for her hand in marriage….a very American tradition. Her father was shocked since the only he understood how marriage worked, was the arrangement between two families, not the couple themselves. He told Erik he would have to think about it. He made Erik sweat for a week before he called with his permission. She is worth waiting for Erik!
