Wedding Hair and Make-up, Sonia gets married

A few months Sonia got married. We had such a great time. What a fun bride………and person.

Wedding Make-Up:

Lauren, Sonia’s Design Visage artist went with pallet of the tones of the dress… she incorporated these tones in the shadows, blush and lips tones.

Golds and smoky tones to bring out the eyes, lots of liner and lashes.

With all that eye……Lauren and Sonia decided on a natural lip.

Wedding Hairstyle:

Sonia wanted to be able to see some of the hair, so Lauren did a side bang and to give a lift to the heavy headress, Lauren used a “bump it”. It gave a lift to the style, and Sonia loved it.

Barnet Photography/Wedding Hair/The Island Hotel

Mariam was such a fun bride….you will see by her choice in colors and style. She has the entire package, style, beauty, and smarts.

She was having difficulty finding a bridal hairstylist that shared her vision for her bridal look….fortunately Barnet Photography gave her the Design Visage number and the rest is beauty history.

Yes Mariam is stunning….although Barnet Photography did a rockin job on the photography (they always do)………


Dana, Miriam’s Design Visage artist outdid herself on this look….don’t you agree?

The cute warm up suit Miriam purchased on Bridalmode...our accessory wedding site….go see all the fun….

Dress was absolutely fantastic….

You have to admire the detail in Mariam’s hair…just as fantastic as the dress.

Next post is the party….and did they ever have a party…..tune in to see the reception of a lifetime…you have to tune into the Iranian Ceremony.

Sheri Wade Photography/Wedding Hair/Surf and Sand Hotel

Rachel works in catering at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Hotel in Dana Point, so you can imagine how honored we were when she called Design Visage for her wedding hairstyle….every week-end Rachel sees the hair and make-up for all the brides….and she chose us…yipee

Sheri Wade Photography did amazing work…….

I love Rachel’s style…look at the fantastic bow with color and bling….love love it!!

Wedding Hairstyle:

  • Lauren was Rachel’s Design Visage artist….they decided to create a romantic half up half down hairstyle
  • This style is most successful if you have thick hair….and Rachel has wonderful hair
  • Lauren curled the entire back with a 1 1/2 iron and set it. After the hair was cool, Lauren lightly placed the hair in a tosseled natural look
  • The very important front was softly pulled back and lightly pinned to create a soft look and shows off Rachel’s lovely face

Melody Walker of Events by Melody Walker organized the day and as always it went off with a hitch…..It is so nice when we work wilth wedding coordinators….the wedding always runs so smoothly and the brides is always on time….  Rachel took advantage of our “Borrow a Veil” service and save a lot of cash…..


The wedding was at the beautiful Surf and Sand Hotel in Laguna….This Hotel is RIGHT on the sand and has the most amazing view and sunset….if you are looking for a location for your wedding…check it out.

All I can say is Wow! I had an amazing experience with Design Visage. The price was VERY reasonable, especially being able to borrow a veil(for a bride on a budget, this was AMAZING)

Lauren was my artist and was such a pleasure to work with. I have a permanent straightener on my hair which does not allow my hair to hold any kind of style ever….but Lauren made it happen. My hair held up with curls! all night…All of my bridesmaids looked beautiful, even my maid of honor who was insistent on doing her own hair quickly changed her mind when she saw Lauren’s work.

Thank you so much for making me and all my girls look beautiful on the wedding day!

I will be recommending Design Visage!

Rancho Las Lomas/Wedding Hair and Make-Up/Scott Nelson Photography

Wedding Hairstyle:

Wow 2009 was the year for the half updo, or you could say half down do. Anyway you look at it…lots of hair on the shoulders. Lauren created this romantic style with a 1 inch iron. She set the hair and then fingered out the curls to look natural. She pinned the sides softly and a side part for the front which adds a bit of elegance….

Wedding Make-Up:

Elizabeth is fair complected (like me) so the brows add much to her look….Lauren defined her brows with a natural brow powder added browns and golds on the lid….a set of lashes and pop the eyes…wow.  Add a mauve lip and cheek and you have a stunning natural look for a georgeous blond.

Now that I have become blog crazy, as I am looking for photos of our brides, I have come across some of the most interesting photographs. The inspirition of color, bridal make-up and wedding hairstyles. I would like to share a few of my favorites.

I would have to say…this is the hairstyle of 09. So many of our lovely brides have chosen this side pony bridal hairstyle. The great thing is that is looks good with all hair color and type.
