Rancho Las Lomas/Casey Larae Photography/Wedding Hair and Makeup

I love digital photos…...Design Visage did Heather’s wedding  just over a week ago and the wonderful Casey Larae sent these amazing images of our stunning bride.

It does not hurt that Heather is beautiful and has an great sense of style. Paired with Design Visage Lauren…this is a hot look.

Wedding hairstyle:

Heather chose that ever so popular side style. Design Visage Lauren outdid herself on this one. First she curled all Heather’s hair with a 1 inch iron. She added some clip in hair extensions for fullness. She then created a base by putting part of Heather’s hair in a rubber band to the side. The final touches were adding the rest of the hair in loose pieces around the base, leaving lots of hair out and tousled.

Wedding Makeup:

Heather has that bold style and it shows in her choice of wedding makeup. Lauren helped Heather create a sexy smoky eye with shades of grey and gold, topping it off with red lips. Heather looks amazing.

As you know if you read our blog, Rancho Las Lomas is one of Design Visage‘s favorite wedding locations. Just look at all the photo opportunities, along with one of the most romantic settings in the O.C…..and you get to work with one of my favorite wedding peeps Nili of Rancho Las Lomas

Wedding Hair and Makeup/Rancho Las Lomas/Design Visage

Can’t believe it has been 8 months since Megan’s lovely wedding at Rancho Las Lomas. I love the hairstyle Megan chose and Design Visage Lauren did magnificent work on her hair and make-up.

Lauren styled Megan’s hair in an elegant but messy updo. Many brides are afraid to have their hair up, although this style is a great balance between up and down. With all the soft loose curls, it give the illusion of hair down around the fact.

Rancho Las Lomas has the most wonderful photo opportunities. In fact you will see many of our blogs with brides at Rancho Las Lomas.

Megan chose an elegant smoky eye with a soft lip. This was the look for 2010.

Look how shadow placed perfectly can bring out the best. Plus the flowers, could they be any more beautiful.

Nicole….what a stunning bride. I love that Nicole went with a bolder look on her eyes and lips, she wears it well.

Dosen’t hurt that Nicole had a great photographer….John Partridge. The location Rancho Las Lomas is also one of Design Visage’s favorite locations for weddings. If you have not seen it, take a look….Rancho Las Lomas.

Lauren, Nicoles Design Visage artist had so much fun with her bridal look.

Bridal Hairstyle:

I would call this a classic messy updo, although not too messy. Lauren curled all of Nicole’s hair in a large iron and then placed each piece in place, without it looking organized.

Bridal Make-Up

Lauren and Nicole decided on a bold lip, a great red, and smokey eyes. Not everyone can pull off this look, but Nicole has the perfect features.

The red lips to accompany the red shoes.

I think this is my favorite photo, lot’s of personality.

Nicole and Brian are such a beautiful couple.

Rancho Las Lomas/Wedding Hair and Make-Up/Scott Nelson Photography

Another stunning wedding at Rancho Las Lomas…photographed by my dear old friend Scott Nelson Photography (not that he is old…just dear). Elizabeth, as you will see is a beautiful bride…let’s take a look:

Wedding Hairstyle:

Wow 2009 was the year for the half updo, or you could say half down do. Anyway you look at it…lots of hair on the shoulders. Lauren created this romantic style with a 1 inch iron. She set the hair and then fingered out the curls to look natural. She pinned the sides softly and a side part for the front which adds a bit of elegance….

Wedding Make-Up:

Elizabeth is fair complected (like me) so the brows add much to her look….Lauren defined her brows with a natural brow powder added browns and golds on the lid….a set of lashes and pop the eyes…wow.  Add a mauve lip and cheek and you have a stunning natural look for a georgeous blond.

These are the times it is all worth it…I received this e-mail and it took me a few looks to realize that the wedding was 3 1/2 years ago and Mom still thinks about the service we provided…..read this: WOW

Dear Caren,  March 25th 2006 was the date of my daughters wedding.It was held at the beautiful Rancho Las Lomas Estate.Photography was John PartridgeSince it was a large wedding makeup artists and hair artists were sent to the hotel as well as our home. Wedding Make-Up:

  • Janelle, the Design Visage  artist did a smokey grey shadow with lots of lashes…

Wedding Hairstyle:

When you look at this style you may not be wowed, but you need to understand that this was when brides were wearing very structured hairstyles…this was so “now” and unique. In fact, I can even tell you how many brides came to us with this photo and wanted the exact same style….

  • the key to this style is loose loose but with a solid base so it will stay all day
  • looks easy, although it takes a lot of time to curl each piece of hair and place it in a way that it looks naturally fallen.
  • piece by piece lightly hairpinned (not bobby pin) to create the look

We had a brochure  with this photo for all of 06 and 07………Look how fantastic the water at  Rancho Las Lomas looks as a backdrop for the photo….good choice John Partridge.
