Pelican Hill/Wedding Hair and Make-Up/Victor Sizemore Photography

The new Pelican Hill venue did not disappoint. We waited a few years for it to open, and it is a beauty. Christine and …..chose Pelican Hill, along with a wonderful team of professionals: Kerrie Underhill of Platinum Weddings to coordinate, Victor Sizemore Photography, Elysium Productions for the movie, and yours truly Design Visage for the beauty.

Christine and her Design Visage artist Lauren decided on a very dramatic eye….since Christine is in the beauty business herself, she was not afraid of drama. so it was for the wedding make-up elegant and sexy.

I love technology, we are facebook freinds with all Christine’s vendors and Victor posted a shot even before Christine walked down the isle for all of us to see. Big change from the days…..and not so long ago, that it would take months….I mean months if ever to see our lovely brides photos.

Beautiful Daniela from Bulgaria

April 25th we had the great pleasure of beautifying Daniela. She and Matt were married on a glorious day at the Balboa Bay Club. She choose a winning team of artists for the day….Design Visage, Events by Melody Walker the wedding coordinator, to organize it all, Marisa Holmes Weddings to capture the moments with lovely photography, and Elysium Productions to make the movie. WOW, A beautiful Southern California Wedding.

Daniela was born in Bulgaria and came to the United States when she was 18. She has the cutest accent, a very soft voice and sweet demeanor. She met Matt at work, they were friend for 6 months prior to going out on a date. This is a great way to start a relationship, friends first, since a marriage the the greatest friendship you will ever have.

I spoke to Daniela and she said the wedding day was perfect. They went off to Turkes and Caicos for the honeymoon and it was the time of their lives.

We had the chance to get to know Daniela very well…..Lauren (her DV artist) did her make-up and hair for the engagement photos and the rehearsal dinner. On the day Lauren and Heather beautified all the girls. Daniela’s wedding hairstyle was a loose updo adorned with rhinestone and pearls hair jewels she purchased from Design Visage’s Bridalmode.

She is such a beautiful girl

Love the shoes……shoes are very important

Brides in print….Ceremony Magazine

Just by her smile you can see that Katelyn is special. A very humble beautiful girl. Katelyn and Jason were married at the stunning Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. She and Jason met a USC dental school…explains the beautiful teeth….The chose some of the best in the wedding industry to create their day….including Kathy Jo Peterson for coordination, Jim Kennedy for the fantastic photos, Elysium Productions for the video and of course Design Visage for the beautiful hairstyles and faces. The wedding was featured in the 2009 Ceremony Magazine. Let’s see why…….

Katelyn chose a loose non structured updo for her bridal hairstyle and bridal make-up was in the soft pink and brown tones with a bold lip. She has the most beautiful skin, all around just a lovely girl. And just look at her skin…it looks airbrushed, but its just her. Can’t buy that…just born with it!

I am sure Katelyn was a joy for the photographer Jim, with all this personality. Makes it more fun to create.

Go Elysium……

Today I have the great pleasure of writing about some wonderful friends and terrific business people. In fact the reason I am able to even create this blog is due to my good and patient friend Julie. She had faith in me and look Julie….I can’t stop talking…blogging every day. Guess I have a lot of hot air. But seriously we have soooo many brides to show off. And of course this make-up and hair we did on Julie for their company pictures. Look how fantastic she looks.

The fabulous Jasmine Star shot the photos.

I can’t say enough about Elysium Productions, they are professional, knowledgeable, very techie, and most of all very now. Take a look at their work. You will not be disappointed.

Next year julie, bring the whole gang to the salon…even Alex! We love you, and love working with you.
