Are you tired of the previews? I never tire of the fun that hair and make-up can create. I mentioned that the preview is the most challenging part of our job, but it is also one of the most scariest part of a brides wedding. So many brides come to the preview very cautious and nervous….I believe it is for a few reasons…1. Everyone has seen the bride that you do not even recognize at the wedding….who wants to be the bride that as she is walking down the isle many of the guests think they are at the wrong wedding. 2. The bride has been planning this moment since she was 5, and the hair and make-up are a very important part of the day…seems silly but you know if you hair looks good you feel good! And the photos on the wall for the next 20 years…you do not want to always look at them as say to yourself…what was I thinking? 3. Many brides are a bit intimidated by the artist, afraid this stylist is going to do something crazy on her and then not be able to say what you like and don’t like…thinking how you can do a quick getaway without causing a scene.

The Design Visage artists know all these concerns are are there for you without any ego but with loads of talent.

It’s Monday, so let’s see some fun bridal looks. That is the best part of weddings, each bride can choose to be anything she desires. There is not a right or wrong look, just her look. There are so many different bridal hairstyles and wedding make-up looks.

Kristen a Desert Wedding Day

May 9th was the day for Kristen and Anton. The chose a terrific vintage hotel in Palm Springs….The Parker. Check it out. Miki and Sonja were the photographers for the day….look at the great shots…and Kathy Ricchia made day run smoothly, the wedding coordinator is so important…thank you for that! Let’s take a look.

Michelle, Kristen’s DV artist enjoyed the entire wedding party. All the girls were so fun and pretty. Kristen’s bridal hairstyle was a down style. This is not the easiest wedding hairstyle. You must have a lot of hair, or add hair extensions. Michelle set Kristen’s hair and let it out to form natural very loose curls, just what she wanted. Kristen’s bridal make-up was very natural…just browns and golds with natural rose blush. Her bridal lip color was a natural lip tone pencil with a soft pink lip gloss. A very naturally beautiful bride.

All the girls had different wedding hairstyles. Some wedding updo’s, some wedding down half updo’s. All looked so fresh in the lovely yellow.

A testament to our wedding hair and make-up services…..it was approximently 107 degrees that beautiful dessert wedding day. And look how fantastic all the girls look to the end.

Yours, Mine equals Ours

What a nice surprise to hear from Carolyn this week. Carolyn was married 7/07 and Loved how beautiful she felt on the wedding, so she did the best compliment a company can have….she brought her future daughter in law to Design Visage for hair and make-up services for her wedding 7/09. We are so excited to be a part of Alyssa’s wedding. But in the meantime let’s take a look at Carolyn and Neils day.

So the yours, mine equals ours: Neil has 3 children and Carolyn has 2 children…so now we have one big Brady Bunch.

So how did they meet? Carolyn is a nurse and a college set her up with a friend…..Neil. Well this is one blind date that went well. They went to dinner, were so engrossed in the conversation, did not even realize that everyone was gone, the restaurant was closed leaving only the closing crew. I guess it was love at first site.

They were engaged on Friday the 13th. The wedding was at the stunning Montage Resort in Laguna Beach, Sherly Rossell coordinated the day and the photos were shot by Moments by Michelle . Carolyn loves bling……there were rhinestones on the cake, bouquet, frames, floral arrangements, the invitation, and all down the back of her dress. It was one sparkly day.

Hannah was Carolyn’s DV artist, and you will see how fantastic her eyes look. They applied a bronze contour with a lot of lashes. Look at those eyes.

Carolyn and Neil went to Bora Bora for their Honeymoon. For their one year anniversary they returned to Bora Bora with all 5 kids, this year for the 2nd year anniversary, they are returning to Bora Bora alone.

Thanks Carolyn for reconnecting with us and the incredible compliment of bringing Alyssa to us. We will take very good care of her.

A few days ago we did a wonderful post on Naomi and Larry………. Their wedding was featured on the knot website and in the new Fall Knot Magazine. So Naomi saw our post and of course loved it……although today I received these photos. As per Naomi the wedding hairstyle and bridal make-up were so beautiful that the photos we featured did not do it justice……..WOW thanks Naomi we love to hear that you loved loved how beautiful you looked and felt. So let’s see a few more shots of Naomi.

Once again I want to thank Ryan Phillips Photography. We so loved being a part of Naomi’s wedding. The best part though, is that we get to see Naomi often as we beautify her brides. Thanks DNT Elite Events we love your brides.
