A few months Sonia got married. We had such a great time. What a fun bride………and person.

Wedding Make-Up:

Lauren, Sonia’s Design Visage artist went with pallet of the tones of the dress… she incorporated these tones in the shadows, blush and lips tones.

Golds and smoky tones to bring out the eyes, lots of liner and lashes.

With all that eye……Lauren and Sonia decided on a natural lip.

Wedding Hairstyle:

Sonia wanted to be able to see some of the hair, so Lauren did a side bang and to give a lift to the heavy headress, Lauren used a “bump it”. It gave a lift to the style, and Sonia loved it.

We met Diane a few years ago when we did her sister Dana’s wedding hair and make-up. Both Dana and Diane were featured in Ceremony Magazine.

Dana of Design Visage was Diane’s artist and what a fun bride to make beautiful, or should I say more beautiful.

The Barnets of Barnet Photography did an amazing  job with the photos…….as always. And the girls from Details Details organized the day.

The Beverly Hills Hotel was the location for the big day.

Both Diane and Ben went to USC, therefore the band at the reception was perfect.

But seems the Design Visage girls leave, but they always return.

Lauren did an amazing bridal hair and make-up look on Heather. Take a look:

It was fun hearing about all the details while Heather was planning….although you never really until you see it…..beautiful. Heather planned this wedding in less than 2 months. It was perfect.

Lauren had fun with Heather’s wedding make-up. Since Heather is a hair and make-up artist, she is very comfortable with a dramatic look:

* As you can see this look is all about the lashes. I believe they have two strips on each eye. It looks so romantic.

* The shadow is very smokey, with hews of plums and greys. Perfect for Heather’s blue eyes.

* Eyes and Lips are a soft tone of corals to blend with the fantastic flowers on her dress

 

Wedding hairstyle:

* Heather’s retro hairstyle was created with a few wefts of hair extensions and a creative team of Lauren and Heather.

* Many brides would not be comfortable with such a large hairstyle, but not Heather, she loved it.

*Lauren created a smooth updo with large irons and a smoothing comb.

I actually attneded this wedding and it was amazing. Thanks to Heather’s Cousin Amelia Lyon Photography for the awesome photos. Heather also took advantage of the Design Visage “borrow a veil” and she found all the hair accessories on Bridalmode.

Wedding Hairstyle:

  • Lauren was Rachel’s Design Visage artist….they decided to create a romantic half up half down hairstyle
  • This style is most successful if you have thick hair….and Rachel has wonderful hair
  • Lauren curled the entire back with a 1 1/2 iron and set it. After the hair was cool, Lauren lightly placed the hair in a tosseled natural look
  • The very important front was softly pulled back and lightly pinned to create a soft look and shows off Rachel’s lovely face

Melody Walker of Events by Melody Walker organized the day and as always it went off with a hitch…..It is so nice when we work wilth wedding coordinators….the wedding always runs so smoothly and the brides is always on time….  Rachel took advantage of our “Borrow a Veil” service and save a lot of cash…..

 


The wedding was at the beautiful Surf and Sand Hotel in Laguna….This Hotel is RIGHT on the sand and has the most amazing view and sunset….if you are looking for a location for your wedding…check it out.

All I can say is Wow! I had an amazing experience with Design Visage. The price was VERY reasonable, especially being able to borrow a veil(for a bride on a budget, this was AMAZING)

Lauren was my artist and was such a pleasure to work with. I have a permanent straightener on my hair which does not allow my hair to hold any kind of style ever….but Lauren made it happen. My hair held up with curls! all night…All of my bridesmaids looked beautiful, even my maid of honor who was insistent on doing her own hair quickly changed her mind when she saw Lauren’s work.

Thank you so much for making me and all my girls look beautiful on the wedding day!

Engagement Hairstyle:

  • Heather has beautiful hair…although as hair artists do, they make it even better. First Lauren added highlight and low lights to Heathers hair (yes we do fabulous color her at Design Visage as well)
  • Second, Lauren added a few wefts of real hair extensions that were colored to match Heather’s Hair
  • Lauren then curled all Heather’s hair with a 1 1/2 inch iron….running her fingers through it after it was set….a slight tease on the top
  • Bangs were slightly curled to the side….add a hair jewel and waaala…perfect look

Engagement make-up:

  • Heather has stunning eyes and she is not afraid of making them up….which was fun for Lauren since she loooooves make-up.
  • The eye shadows were several shades of plums…brings out a blue eye…a thicker black liner on top that was extended outside the eye to enlarge the eye
  • Lips and cheeks….natural tones of Heather’s own cheek and lip color

Wedding Hairstyle:

Wow 2009 was the year for the half updo, or you could say half down do. Anyway you look at it…lots of hair on the shoulders. Lauren created this romantic style with a 1 inch iron. She set the hair and then fingered out the curls to look natural. She pinned the sides softly and a side part for the front which adds a bit of elegance….

Wedding Make-Up:

Elizabeth is fair complected (like me) so the brows add much to her look….Lauren defined her brows with a natural brow powder added browns and golds on the lid….a set of lashes and pop the eyes…wow.  Add a mauve lip and cheek and you have a stunning natural look for a georgeous blond.
