Bridal Beauty Product Spotlight – Sugarpill Pressed Eyeshadow

We are often asked about the products we use and although all Design Visage artists consistently use the same airbrush foundation, they each have  favorite products that bring their creative artistry to life.

Taking a break from the usual wedding day photos to bring you bridal beauty product love from DV Jen.

Sugarpill Pressed Eyeshadow – Tako

What it is:

Luxury pressed eyeshadow. Richly pigmented & velvety smooth.

What it does:

A great eyeshadow to add that dramatic white highlighting with a heavy smokey eye. For best results apply to the inner corner and brow bone.

Why I LOVE it!

“I love the Sugarpill pressed eyeshadow in Tako!  Since the pigment is so great, very little product is needed and it is also long lasting. The extra bonus is that the product is Vegan!” - DV Jen

Featured on Style Me Pretty – Kate Spade Inspired Shoot

We had so much fun with this Kate Spade inspired shoot! Amazing design by Lindye Galloway, coordinated by LVL Events and shot by Jasmine Star at the Chuck Jones Center by 24 Carrots. Fun with color, patterns, texture and unique design elements to inspire a whimsical bride.

From the conception, Lindye had a vision for the brides hair and makeup by Design Visage.

  • Classic
  • Fresh
  • Soft, loose waves
  • Perfect poppy lips!

LVL Events coordinated the dream team of professionals to bring the Kate Spade inspired shoot to life.

Team Building – The Design Visage Way

Team building is important for any company, it builds motivation, trust and rapport. Most large corporations have team building activities that involve working together to achieve a task or competitive activities to ignite motivation and passion. All designed to build the companies bottom line.

At Design Visage we take Team Building a little differently. Although we work together throughout the year, our focus is always on our bride and the bridal party. We have to make it a point to come together as a group to stay connected and get that personal time that can not be achieved via weddings on the weekend or Facebook.

We choose different activities for different reasons.

White water rafting – To build trust and teamwork. Definitely a crazy day, no one wanted to end up in the water so you have to take care of each other to stay in the boat.

Sometimes our team building includes work. Here we all got together to make a VIP group of coordinators beautiful in LA. Our artists are always there when we need them.

The team can not always get together at the same time.

Individually we can bond as well. Here we participated in a yoga rave.

The adventures of the Design Visage Divas included this fun outing to hot air balloon in Del Mar! Never made it off the ground but that’s a whole other story.

Our artists give their time throughout the year.

This year we gave our time to Wish Upon a Wedding and celebrated at the annual Gala.

We generally close the busy wedding season with a gathering in December to reflect

and look forward to a prosperous New Year. A gondola ride to see the holiday lights.

Can’t say it is all work and no play with a break in the photo booth!

And again although the ladies were meeting new brides at the Love Tour they are able to spend valuable time together.

The next adventure for the Design Visage Divas…a cruise. That’s right, we are heading out for fun in the sun. We will play, relax, laugh and maybe even cry. Tears of joy and graditude for the amazing women we work with everyday.

For us, team building is our way of staying connected and understanding who our artists are. We want to keep them inspired and motivated to always do an amazing job.

I feel our efforts are reflected in the work they do and the phenomenal reviews we get from our brides. A Design Visage artist is a woman of integrity, professionalism, artistry and compassion.

We are thankful!

This time of year we all start to think of the things in life we are thankful for. At the top of our list are the amazing women that make up the DV Team! These ladies make use proud to be in the business of making brides beautiful for their big day. Each DV artist has a unique personality and special gift they bring to the team. As individual as they are, our team is consistently awesome. We firmly believe there is no “I” in TEAM and we work together to provide an amazing experience for our brides.

To ALL our DV Divas (including those not pictured above)…

Each of you are kind, loving and passionate women. You are beyond talented and creative! You are incredible, mothers, teacher and friends.

Thank you for being the women you are! You make it possible for us to enjoy what we do everyday.

Warmest,

Caren & Summer

Bridal Beauty Product Spotlight

Some of our DV Divas stopped by to share their favorite products with you!

Benefit Ooh La Lift

What it is:
A dream cream for the under-eye area.

What it does:
Benefit Ooh La Lift is a wonder eye cream that works like an instant eye lift. With light-reflecting pigments and raspberry extract, this magic pink balm gives eyes an instant brightening boost and caffeine to perk up the eye.

Why I love it:
“Use throughout the day as an eye freshener. Lightens, brightens and tightens the eye.” - DV Jen

$22 at Sephora

MAC Fluidline – Blacktrack
What it is:

MAC Fluidline Ultra-smooth, gel formula eyeliner in a rich array of colors and finishes.

What it does:

Provides the precision of a liquid liner with a silkier, softer finish. Goes on “foolproof” with a brush an easy dip-and-stroke action. Long-wearing. Smudge-proof.

Why I love it:

“It goes on smooth, doesn’t smudge and I can use it on everyone! Defines the eyes and can be used for a natural eye or even for a more dramatic effect.” – DV Georgia

$15.00 at  MAC

I have fine lines around my eyes and had to try Benefit Ooh La Lift “dream cream” for myself. It REALLY works!

The Fluidline by MAC I have been using for years. Liquid liner appears harsh to me and the shadow liners do not last all day. This product is easily applied with an angled brush and you have control of how much or little you like
