Summertime in La Quinta with Lauren Hillary of Jim Kennedy Photographers

Our favorite new destination for weddings is the desert. Palm Springs, Palm Desert and La Quinta have some of the best wedding venues in Southern California. Our bride Jaquilee was actually from Texas and chose the La Quinta Golf Club for her big day. She was lucky to have the talented Lauren Hillary of Jim Kennedy Photographers with her capturing the sweet details from the perfect tea length dress to the bright pops of color.

The wedding colors were bright and fun reflecting the sweet personality of the bride and her family. What a fun day!

Relaxed Beach Bridal Hair & Makeup at Terranea with Lauren Hillary of Jim Kennedy Photographers

Terranea is one of Southern California’s premier coastal wedding locations.  Our bride was a perfect fit for this beach side venue and her hair and makeup matched the relaxed vibe of the day. Lauren Hillary captured beautiful images from all angels of the unique bridal style and the gorgeous landscape.

I remember when Fulya came in for her Preview and we got a sneak peak of her amazing braid. The hairstyle Georgia created was so unique and it went perfectly with the entire look.

  • Natural makeup, simple yet polished
  • Soft pink lip
  • Boho side swept hair with a fishtail braided through

Lauren Hillary of Jim Kennedy Photographers did an amazing job! I really love the these images of Fulya on the coast of Terranea.

It is so important to consider the overall look of the wedding when choosing your hair and makeup. How will it all come together in a photo? The dress, the venue, the makeup and the hair all composed into a complete look. These are the things that make each bride unique and allow her to reflect her own personal bridal style on the wedding day!

Artistic Vintage Wedding in San Juan Capistrano with Andre Niesing Photography

Love it when we get a last minute call from a bride and the result is absolutely gorgeous! Kristie called us a few days before her wedding and had a specific request for an artist that could give her a vintage look to match the vibe of her big day. Although all the DV artists can do this, DV Jen is partial to the makeup and hair from the 20′s-50′s. So Kristie was in luck when DV Jen was available for her on such short notice. Andre Niesing gave us so many great shots to share.

 

A birdcage veil is the perfect vintage accessory.

The classic red lip even pops in black and white photography.

 Our brides are so unique and are never a copy of another. Each bride inspires us to create a beautiful new look.

Winter Wonderland at Talega Golf Club with Gini Garner and Jim Kennedy Photographers

Happy New Year! We do hundreds of weddings every year and each one is so special to us. It’s not everyday one of our fellow industry professionals ties the knot AND we have the opportunity to be part of the big day! We also got to enjoy the day with the awesome Gini Garner and talented Jim Kennedy. The couple had some photo fun at the St Regis before heading over to Talega Golf Club

Ashley and her husband are in entertainment business so she was not shy with the makeup but did want something timeless and DV Lauren acheived both. She really wanted to make a statement with her hair and DV Lauren did an amazing job.

 

  • A crease was created to open up her eye and make it brighter
  • Her green eyes were magnified by the lavenders and warm brown tones used with her shadow
  • Complimented with a contoured cheek 
  • Pretty pink lips – Tantalize Liner and Kiss Lipstick

 

DV Ella was on hand with DV Lauren for this extra fun bridal party!

This bridesmaid has great eyes and DV Ella made them pop!

We are thankful!

This time of year we all start to think of the things in life we are thankful for. At the top of our list are the amazing women that make up the DV Team! These ladies make use proud to be in the business of making brides beautiful for their big day. Each DV artist has a unique personality and special gift they bring to the team. As individual as they are, our team is consistently awesome. We firmly believe there is no “I” in TEAM and we work together to provide an amazing experience for our brides.
