Torrance Marriott/Wedding Hair and Make-Up/Christine Bentley Photography

Wedding Hairstyle

  • Lynne has great hair….long and full and like many brides wanted a soft half updo. So Dana ( her Design Visage artist) used a 1 1/2 iron to do loose curles all over.
  • After the hair cools….Dana took loose pieces from the sides and created a bridal hairstyle in the back
  • The overall look in so natural, although elegant and the fact that there is a part up, the hairstyle will look good all night
  • Dana did a elegant swoop bang for the front of Lynne’s bridal hairstyle.

Wedding Make-Up:

  • Lynn is so darn cute….the make-up just added a touch….Dana started with a mineral foundation and powder….sheer with staying power
  • Shadow color was a canvass all over the lid, contour pink brown (this is the best best color to contour without looking made up) topped off with a sable liner and matching shadow to smoke out the liner and corners of the eye (don’t forget the brow shaper)
  • the final touch was a heather pink lip with a sweetie gloss…a very natural pink…this creates a very natural lip tone that is the color of Lynne’s lips…just a bit darker….

Adamson House/Wedding Hair and Make-Up/

Melissa was married on Sat…last Sat, but with the speed of digital photography and a great photographer, Dave Richards Photography, we received this lovely e-mail today along with photos:

 Adrianne was AMAZING to work with and I loved, loved my hair and makeup.  I’ve included a link to my photographer’s blog below.  After the veil was off–the hair lasted all night.  I’m so pleased with how everything turned out!

Wedding Hairstyle:

  • Melissa definitely wanted to wear her hair all down so the challenge was to make sure it would look good all day and night
  •  Adrienne ( Design Visage artist) used a flat iron and lots of Alterna Hairspray ….holds without the heavy

Wedding make-up:

  • If you have read any beauty blogs this year, you have seen the purple/eggplant trend, and this was the look for Melissa
  • Adrienne applied several different tones of plum/purples…..applied correctly these tone are very natural, complimentary and flatter many skin tones
  • A natural tone of rose for the lips and cheeks……I believe it was perfect!

Rancho Las Lomas/Wedding Hair and Make-Up/John Partridge Photography

These are the times it is all worth it…I received this e-mail and it took me a few looks to realize that the wedding was 3 1/2 years ago and Mom still thinks about the service we provided…..read this: WOW

Dear Caren,  March 25th 2006 was the date of my daughters wedding.It was held at the beautiful Rancho Las Lomas Estate.Photography was John PartridgeSince it was a large wedding makeup artists and hair artists were sent to the hotel as well as our home.   • Janelle, the Design Visage  artist did a smokey grey shadow with lots of lashes…
  • Lips and cheeks were a heather pink…..

Wedding Hairstyle:

When you look at this style you may not be wowed, but you need to understand that this was when brides were wearing very structured hairstyles…this was so “now” and unique. In fact, I can even tell you how many brides came to us with this photo and wanted the exact same style….

  • the key to this style is loose loose but with a solid base so it will stay all day
  • looks easy, although it takes a lot of time to curl each piece of hair and place it in a way that it looks naturally fallen.
  • piece by piece lightly hairpinned (not bobby pin) to create the look

We had a brochure  with this photo for all of 06 and 07………Look how fantastic the water at  Rancho Las Lomas looks as a backdrop for the photo….good choice John Partridge.

Design Visage and Yelp

So I need to know who has it in for Design Visage at Yelp.  Over the past few years we have had several brides and clients write their comments on the Yelp website.

More than a dozen have been 5 star reviews on Yelp, and there are 3 negative, of which one is not even the correct company regarding the smart circle promotion.

Yelp has removed ALL OF OUR POSITIVE REVIEWS. As a business owner you can not even contact them…..who are they GOD of the Internet. We have reviews on Project Wedding, Wedding Wire and many many more. Most of our reviews are glowing 5 star, with always the few who you could not please. That is fine since all other site leave ALL the reviews for you as a potential client to see. Now Yelp removes upon their discretion. So this leaves Design Visage with a bad review since they have removed every positive and not one of the 3 negative.

Best part, if you search…which I have….to request to talk to someone, it clearly says that trying to sue or do anything about their decisions will result in nothing.

I have had to hire an attorney to attempt to get YELP to be fair with the reviews. The are hurting my business.

This is very important for all of you to understand. I will post the progress with my one person class action suit.

Please leave a comment if you know anyone who has had my same experience.
